We have one last version of our sweater to show you all before you start deciding on how you are going to approach our KAL sweater. If you are sitting in front of your computer right now, and asking yourself “What’s a KAL sweater?”, simply click here to read all about it.
At this point in the game, you have seen a colour blocked version knit using King Cole Authentic DK, you have also seen a version knit out of a self-striping yarn by King Cole called Splash. And now, we have a striped version knit using four different colours of Cascade 220 Superwash.
This wool is washable, warm, breathable, and perfect for any active kids you may know. But let’s be real… what kid isn’t active? With a collection of colours so huge it can almost take your breath away, the options are endless! (Seriously, click here to see them all. It’s AMAZING!) The colours used in this version of the sweater were shades 910A- Winter White, 892- Spaceneedle, 894- Strawberry Cream and 903- Flamingo Pink. While the 220 Superwash is typically referred to as a worsted weight yarn, we opted to use it here as a DK. We find the 220 Superwash pretty thin as far as worsted weight yarns go, so we thought that we would give it a shot. And you know what? It worked!
As is often the case with knitting in multiple colours, there were certainly a lot of ends to sew in on this one. But if you ask us, it was worth it.
So there you have it. Three versions of the same little sweater.
