Happy Easter to all of you reading our blog!
We figured that whether or not you celebrate Easter, you are more than likely not working today… And that right there is reason to celebrate! So why don’t we all celebrate the Easter long weekend with a free pattern, courtesy of Cascade Yarns?
Since this weekend might leave you with one (perhaps even two!) extra days, be sure that you carve out some time with your knitting. And while you’re at it, why not also learn a new technique?
Which brings us to… entrelac!
This technique works up beautifully in a self-striping yarn, such as Cascade’s Pinwheel. Entrelac makes it look as though you have knit lots of tiny little squares, and then sewn them all together, when in fact- it is knit all in one piece!
The combination of self-striping yarn and entrelac equals pure MAGIC!
Isn’t that blanket just so sweet knit up in such a pretty Easter/Spring colourway? Before we know it… the bulbs will be in full bloom! And this pretty blanket is a really good reminder of that.
