Show & Tell- Opium Palette Top

Our friend Diane up at Diane’s Creative Elements is always so good about sending us photos of her latest creations using yarns from Estelle. Her latest finished project appeared in our inbox yesterday morning, and it was just so pretty- we had to share!

The yarn used was King Cole’s Opium Palette, and the pattern is King Cole pattern 4181.

Anyone who has knit with the Opium or Opium Palette knows what fun it is to knit with (we just love knitting over those little slubby bits!!!), but sewing it up can be a different story. While we have used coordinating sock yarn to sew up our side seams, Diane came up with another brilliant solution- DMC Embroidery Floss! Why not? It won’t set your bank account back much, and it is readily available in yarn stores and craft shops across the country!

Thanks for the tip- and the Show & Tell- Diane! We  really appreciate it!

If you have knit with an Estelle Yarn, let us know! We love seeing finished pictures, and if you’re okay with it- we would also love to share them on the blog! Email us at lynn@estelledesigns.ca with your finished projects, or ear-burn us on Ravelry! Our username is EstelleDesigns, and we would love to hear from you.

Happy knitting everyone!
