At Estelle Yarns, we have the privilege of representing several fantastic yarn companies to independent yarn stores all across Canada. King Cole, Cascade Yarns, Borgo de Pazzi, Manos del Uruguay… plus more!
And while we are proud to be a large part of the reason so many of these yarns are available in your local yarn store, we are also proud of our very own line of yarn, Estelle Yarns. The Estelle Yarns collection includes a wide range of high quality, luxury yarns, at reasonable prices. We also offer a range of patterns supporting our yarns, all of which are available for free on our website. Be sure to check in regularly, as new patterns are added often!
The latest yarn to be introduced to our in house collection is a chunky weight, alpaca/merino blend, appropriately called Alpaca Merino Chunky. It knits up smooth like butter, and is soft as a bunny- an absolute treat to both knit, and wear!
Working up at the popular gauge of 14 stitches over 4″, there are countless patterns available that the Alpaca Merino Chunky could work well with. Our website is loaded with free patterns, so don’t hesitate to browse around! Patterns using Cascade’s 128 Superwash, Pacific Chunky, or even Estelle’s own Alcazar will all work beautifully, Did someone say cozy mittens? To view all of our free patterns, please click here. And should you have any questions as to whether or not a pattern will work with the Alpaca Merino Chunky, do not hesitate to drop us a line and ask! We would be happy to help.
But that’s not all! Alpaca Merino Chunky is available in seventeen gorgeous, heathered shades. With lots of greys and neutral tones, as well as a variety of bright and bold colours, there is something for everyone!
And when we say everyone- we mean everyone! Including wee ones! Which is why we are happy to offer you this free pattern for a little hat, using this gorgeous new yarn. One skein will do it, so pick up a few! That way you can stripe some up, or knit one not only for the little one in your life, but all of their little friends too! And we are certain that once you have knit up a little hat or two, you will be looking for excuses to cast on a larger project using this yarn- guaranteed!
