It is such an exciting time of year in the yarn world these days. Local yarn stores are beginning to accept delivery of their new Fall stock, knitters and crocheters have hopefully had some downtime over the warmer days of Summer to work through a bit of their stash, and yarn companies/designers are releasing their latest patterns for the upcoming cooler months-including us! There certainly is a buzz in the air!
While we know that we shared one of our latest Free Estelle Yarns patterns with you just last week, we can’t help but think that there is no such thing as too many free knitting patterns! Suitable for either a man or a woman, this slouchy hat which features a wonderful, deep ribbed band, and is made using only one skein of Cascade Heritage Wave, Estelle Alpaca Merino Fine or any single skein of fingering weight/sock yarn that you may have been been holding onto for a rainy day. Knit using circular needles, this hat makes for the perfect project to have in tow for that long car ride, movie night at home, or backyard BBQ. It has just enough pattern to hold your interest, but also isn’t so involved that one must sit in a quiet room all alone, in order to avoid making mistakes. Besides… how often does that happen anyway?
Should you find yourself feeling a little bit intimidated by the tiny needle size, don’t be! This particular stitch pattern absolutely flies off the needles!
