It’s Friday, and the weather is heating up out there. So we thought that a pair of socks might be exactly what you knitters are craving for this edition of ‘Free Pattern Friday’. Nothing too bulky that will pool in your lap, something portable to cart along with you to that family picnic or soccer game, and something that anyone on your Christmas list would be thrilled to find under the tree when that time of year rolls around again… and roll around it will!
This pattern is brought to you by the kind people over at Cascade Yarns, and is a gently cabled sock pattern called ‘Aryn Socks’, using one skein of Cascade’s incredibly popular sock yarn Heritage Paints.
While we may not suggest using a highly contrasting colourway of a variegated yarn (you might lose all of your beautiful stitch work in all of the multi-colours!), a subtly variegated yarn like this one, or even a solid yarn like Cascade Heritage would be simply stunning.
So grab your yarn, pick up some needles, print off the pattern and get to it!
Sock are the perfect Summer knitting project for so many reasons… so enjoy!
Wishing you all a very happy weekend filled with knitting and crochet.
